SI #8 presto!






 Materials: pencil, colored markers, colored pencils

Processes: First I made an outline with pencil. Then I used colored markers for the person, kiwis, and background. I did not perfectly fill in the outline in order to give room for other colored markers. Finally I used colored pencils for the kiwi beaks.

Ideas: To go with the red and green theme I used different shades of the colors this time in order to make the pieces not look the same. After coloring in though I realized the guy looked like a watermelon! At first I was going to include the truck spilling out all the kiwis but I ended up leaving that out because I thought It would distract from the main focus. My idea is to show there are many kiwis ready to take over the world, starting with Tim and Scadoosh unfortunately. This piece leads to future pieces of them hiding and kiwis ravaging the town.

SI #2 Finished!

  I decided to color the comic on the door with  just brown colors because of the weird position of the door knob. I suppose it works because it doesn’t distract too much from the guy kicking the door open. Though I still find myself looking at the first picture of the comic before looking at the guy which is interesting. Next I will work on the coffee mug featuring more interaction between the characters. Then I will head towards the climax of the story be introducing the city and kiwis! Materials: pencil, sharpie, colored pencils Process: made an outline with pencil, then went over with sharpie, then colored everything Ideas: my idea was to present an angry dude breaking through a door with a comic on the door to explain why he is angry. I colored the comic brown to hopefully make the door knob look better. I used lots of dots for shading and that ended up looking ok

SI #6 the beginning of doom!

 Materials: pencil, colored markers, colored pencils Processes: First I sketched an outline with pencil. Then I filled in with colored markers. Then I went over the marker with colored pencils to add detail. I added splotches of green and red to hint at the transition from no color palette to mostly all reds and greens. Ideas: This piece is a transition from the normal to the apocalypse. The kiwi’s beak sticking out of the hood hints at a kiwi inside. I plan to use a different color palette and tone for future pieces. I’m tired of the simple, I’m ready to shake things up a bit.
