Materials: pencil, colored markers, colored pencils
Process: First I made an outline with pencil. I used two points outside the piece to create perspective. Then I added color and some outlines. Colored pencil was added for texture and shadow.
Ideas: This piece piece depicts Tom and Scadoosh starting their smoothie business! Their use of kiwi fruit is offensive to the kiwi birds so they start scheming for the most extreme revenge, world domination! This piece is meant to further the story and provide a setting.

SI #2 Finished!

  I decided to color the comic on the door with  just brown colors because of the weird position of the door knob. I suppose it works because it doesn’t distract too much from the guy kicking the door open. Though I still find myself looking at the first picture of the comic before looking at the guy which is interesting. Next I will work on the coffee mug featuring more interaction between the characters. Then I will head towards the climax of the story be introducing the city and kiwis! Materials: pencil, sharpie, colored pencils Process: made an outline with pencil, then went over with sharpie, then colored everything Ideas: my idea was to present an angry dude breaking through a door with a comic on the door to explain why he is angry. I colored the comic brown to hopefully make the door knob look better. I used lots of dots for shading and that ended up looking ok

SI #6 the beginning of doom!

 Materials: pencil, colored markers, colored pencils Processes: First I sketched an outline with pencil. Then I filled in with colored markers. Then I went over the marker with colored pencils to add detail. I added splotches of green and red to hint at the transition from no color palette to mostly all reds and greens. Ideas: This piece is a transition from the normal to the apocalypse. The kiwi’s beak sticking out of the hood hints at a kiwi inside. I plan to use a different color palette and tone for future pieces. I’m tired of the simple, I’m ready to shake things up a bit.
